If you’ve got a hankering for breakfast food, the Uptown Diner is the ideal spot to get cozy in a plush booth, order a short stack or scrambled eggs, and let it all hang out. The flip and sizzle of pancakes and hash browns on the open griddle promises fresh vittles. Leaving here with anything less than a full belly is virtually impossible.

The upstairs pub attracts a clean-cut crowd, while the sloppy, comfortable basement “nut bar” is a slacker’s sanctuary of free popcorn and peanuts, with pinball and dartboards.
